There was an explosion on a major gas pipeline in Egypt today. I see this as one of two things.
1st. It could certainly be militants taking advantage of the army’s distraction to attack a hated pipeline to Israel. Since the peace accord the supply of gas to Israel has always been an issue of contention. That is certainly plausible.
2nd. This one pushing the boundaries but it is also quite possible. It is not impossible to believe that the government did this themselves. By taking attention away from the protesters and having unrest they can blame on them it gives them an excuse to put it down. It gives them an excuse to roll in and stomp down with their steel toed boot. Safely from inside of a tank of course.
We may never really know what happened. In fact the governments own stories do not match up, but what matters is that the protestors never give up, never surrender. Keep doing what you are doing. If they can keep at it, not get discouraged or sent home they can accomplish something amazing. History is happening now in Egypt and it is so exciting.
